About X-Wires
X-Wires is an Internet management, resource and support services company,specializing in higher education and other complex multi-user environments. From its earliest days as a start-up business entity, X-Wires has dedicated itself to the principal that our ultimate success depends, in every single case, on providing the best possible service to each customer and every institution we work with.
X-Wires originated as a classroom project from the nationally recognized John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. A group of students noticed a growth trend in the wireless industry and saw an opportunity to provide new options for institutions and individuals in an underserved market segment. After an initial round of investment, the company was incorporated in March 2002. In 2007, X-Wires Broadband became a division of Dynamic Broadband.
In teaming with Dynamic Broadband, X-Wires is now a leading Internet Service Provider in the Upper Midwest and has expanded its business model to include comprehensive Residential Network management for academic institutions, apartments, hotels and other MDUs, as well as DSL Service and IT Consulting. Throughout its rapid, carefully managed growth, X-Wires has retained its initial focus on the importance of outstanding customer service, with an on-going dedication to providing the highest quality product at a competitive price.
