Q: How much does X-Wires service cost?

A: X-Wires services are priced on a per-user basis, significantly lower than traditional internet service providers. Since each campus is unique, X-Wires will perform a thorough site visit along with a comprehensive analysis of your existing infrastructure before presenting you with pricing. This ensures that we can adequately serve your campus and its needs.

Q: I already have network infrastructure in place. How will X-Wires interface with our network?

A: X-Wires has a variety of ways to interface with you depending on the complexity of your network and the services you would like X-Wires to provide. X-Wires uses only enterprise quality hardware to ensure our levels of service exceed your expectations. The X-Wires system has the capability of interfacing with your hardware using traditional Ethernet or Fiber Optic connectivity.

Q: Do you replace our network hardware? Are we still responsible for replacing and maintaining network hardware?

A: The X-Wires system is designed to interface with your existing network. X-Wires is responsible for maintaining and replacing any hardware specifically installed to provide its internet solution. You are still responsible for maintaining and/or replacing your network hardware and infrastructure.

Q: How does X-Wires handle wireless routers?

A: X-Wires will work with you to enforce the University's Acceptable Use Policies and Terms of Service. In environments where wireless routers are allowed, X-Wires recommends a strict wireless encryption policy. This ensures proper accountability and liability tracking in the event of network abuse.

Common Apartment (MDU)/Senior Living ResNet FAQ's:

Q: Will you have to make major modifications to my facility, like drilling holes, running cables or trenching across my property?

A: X-Wires will work with you to ensure that our installation meets your aesthetic criterion. In many cases, our system can be easily installed without major changes to your location. Either way, no modifications to your properties will be completed without your approval.

Q: Are all users sharing the same bandwidth? Can one user affect the abilities of other users in the facility?

A: Using our solution, you can provide a high speed connection to each user in your facility and allow power users to upgrade as they choose. This solution ensures a consistent user experience for every resident. Whether you're an occasional web browser or an online video-gamer, we can customize internet packages to meet the needs of each of your tenants.

Q: What speeds can you provide?

A: X-Wires can provide bandwidth solutions customized to your needs, tenants and budget. Packages from 256K to 50Mb and beyond can be provided.

Q: Will I still be taking phone calls from my tenants?

A: No! X-Wires will take over any internet support related communication with your tenants. If tenants have questions about upgrading speeds, resolving virus activity or troubleshooting a problem computer, X-Wires can help!

Q: What price should I expect to pay?

A: Before presenting you with pricing, X-Wires will visit your location and perform a walk-through. During this time, our technicians will analyze your property and determine our installation plan. Using this information, X-Wires will sit down with our network engineers to determine most effective ways to service your tenants and provide you with value.

Q: As the property owner or manager, will I pay any installation charges?

A: No! X-Wires will not charge you any installation fees to begin providing internet service to your tenants.

Q: As the property owner or manager, can I resell the service to my tenants?

A: Yes! We offer you the opportunity to provide our service as part of rent or as a fee-based service to tenants.

Q: Will the tenants of my facility pay any installation charges?

A: This depends on how you, as property owner, want to position services to your tenants. In some cases we may recommend a tenant installation fee to help offset the monthly costs to you.

Common Hotel ResNet FAQ's:

Q: I'm already providing internet services to my hotel and own my own hardware. I'm interested in switching providers. Can you re-use my equipment?

A: This depends on the type and quality of hardware already in place. X-Wires has spent years perfecting its solution and uses only the highest quality hardware. We've certified a number of brands/vendors we will support on your network and will recommend any sub-quality hardware be replaced. There may be fees associated with these replacements, but we assure you that you and your hotel residents will have a much better internet experience.

Q: I currently have a number of companies that I have to call when there are problems with the internet at my hotel. Will this change with X-Wires?

A: Yes! At X-Wires, we believe that your problem is our problem. That's why we become your internet provider, internet manager and phone support provider. This means you have one number to call and the only finger we can point is at ourselves.

Q: Our banquet facility is filled with engagements on a regular basis. Do we have the ability to upgrade bandwidth for events that require it?

A: Yes! We will work with you prior to installation to identify your ongoing bandwidth needs and tailor a solution fit to the needs of your clients.
